Storybook charm defines every inch of Montenegro. Medieval castles, red-roofed houses, and tiny fishing villages add to its old-world allure. A popular destination for boaters, the Balkan country is home to Porto Montenegro, a full-service marina located in the Bay of Kotor. In addition to 228 residences, restaurants, bars, shops, a yacht club, a five-star Regent hotel, and a Naval Heritage museum, the marina boasts a swath of 450 berths for yachts and superyachts alike.
The marina recently added an 820-foot berth to its lineup, making it home to the largest berth in the world. The berth is not only bigger than those at other marinas; it is larger than the world’s biggest superyacht Azzam, which measures in at 590 feet. Azzam will soon be superseded by Double Century, a 656-foot yacht being built for $770 million. And when the mammoth yacht is completed, Porto Montenegro will be ready, serving as an ideal destination in the Adriatic region.
