A wave of new life - Belgrade Waterfront Residences

Belgrade Waterfront is a €3.5bn project of condominiums, hotels, offices, retail, parks and paths dominated by a glass skyscraper that will be the tallest between Vienna and Istanbul. Its developer is Abu Dhabi-based Eagle Hills, chaired by Mohamed Alabbar, who previously founded Emaar, builders of the world’s largest shopping mall and tallest building, both in Dubai. Their project manager in Belgrade, Nikola Nedeljkovic, says that “we envisage Belgrade Waterfront to be a game-changing hub for Serbia”, and that it “takes into consideration the balanced sensitivity to nature, culture and modernity”.

Belgrade’s Latest Address

Belgrade Waterfront’s residential components respect the city’s architectural heritage with a futuristic twist. Clean lines, simple forms and abundant glazing will contribute to a contemporary lifestyle. Outdoor spaces, such as balconies and shared rooftop gardens, create a distinctive southern European flavor.

Construction Progress

In less than a month the second crane was just installed and the construction of raft slab was ongoing for Belgrade Waterfront’s residences. These days the works are ongoing on the level zero slab, as well as on the first walls and pillars above the ground floor slab for the first residential building.

An early key part of the development, Belgrade Mall will be the largest retail mall in the Balkans region and a major destination drawing visitors from all around the world. The 140,000 square meters shopping mall has a world-class eco-friendly design with covered arcades making maximum use of natural light and creating a street-like feeling.
